BVB Evonik Soccer School
The children of Evonik employees had the chance to blow out the final candle on Evonik’s tenth birthday cake, along with new friends from the BVB Evonik Soccer School.
As part of the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Evonik brand, trainers from the BVB Evonik Soccer School conducted clinics around the world with stops in Germany, Belgium, China, Singapore, Brazil, and recently in the U.S.
The children of employees from Evonik sites in Allentown, Pa., Piscataway and Parsippany, N.J. had the opportunity to learn at the feet of three certified professional trainers from the Soccer School. The kids worked on their speed and agility, shot selection and one-on-one skills in BVB outfits.
Fancy footwork was not the only thing being developed; a guiding principle of the Soccer School is development of the total person. Trainers led the children through a series of exercises meant to develop trust and respect. Trainers also emphasized teamwork.
Teamwork, trust and respect are all parts of any successful organization, whether it’s a soccer team or a specialty chemicals company.
