Evonik Tippecanoe Laboratories Strong Corporate Citizenship Recognized
Company Receives ISO 14001 Certification For Enhanced Performance
Evonik Degussa Corporation’s Tippecanoe Laboratories has been awarded the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001 certification for its continuous improvement in environmental, health, safety and security performance.
UL DQS Inc., an independent certification assessment firm, evaluated Tippecanoe Laboratories and praised the facility for its efforts to continuously improve its performance. The UL DQS auditors also noted that Tippecanoe Laboratories achieved a significant milestone with 1,000 days of no Lost Time Accidents (LTA) representing over 4 million work hours.
“Achieving this certification shows our commitment and dedication to environmental protection, community outreach, health and safety to our customers, employees, the Lafayette community and suppliers,” said Mindy Stinson, Director of Human Resources at Tippecanoe Laboratories. “Thorough preparation, strong internal communications and organized management practices were the keys to earning the ISO 140001 certification.”
ISO is a non-governmental global network that identifies the international standards required by business, government and society. The basis of the certification involves the manufacturing process and how it affects the environment, complies with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally-oriented requirements, and how the company continually improves in these areas.
