Ann Barkley Steps Down From Evonik Community Advisory Panel After 14 Years

Evonik Morrisburg Site Seeks Nominees To Fill Panel Post

Ann Barkley, a member of the Morrisburg Community Advisory Panel (CAP) at the Evonik Oil Additives Canada Inc. plant, is retiring after 14 years of service.

Composed of community and company representatives who exchange information and ideas at regularly-scheduled meetings at the Morrisburg site, Evonik’s seven-member CAP has been an important communications tool for both the community and company, explains Dr. Andrew Swann, Evonik Site Manager.

“Ann, a retired teacher, has been a strong contributor to the Morrisburg CAP and Evonik thanks her for her unselfish commitment and numerous contributions to the community,” said Dr. Swann.

With Ann’s retirement, the Evonik site is seeking nominations to fill the open position. Interested parties may contact Ms. Catriona Hunter at the Morrisburg plant (catriona.hunter@evonik.com).

Community awareness has always been an integral part of the company’s operations. Its other community-engagement activities include involvement with the local Emergency Management Operation, open house events and charitable donations to local organizations.

Evonik Oil Additives Canada was first recognized as a Responsible Care company in 1995.

“Our adherence to Responsible Care® guidelines demonstrates our commitment to conducting our business and operations in a responsible manner,” said Dr. Swann. “Responsible, safe practices are always a top priority for Evonik Oil Additives Canada, and we will continue to enhance these measures.”
