Incident at Evonik Stockhausen Site In Greensboro, North Carolina

It is with great sadness that Evonik Stockhausen LLC confirms an employee was fatally injured at about 10:40 a.m. today while working in a warehouse at the company’s facility on 2401 Doyle Street.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of our employee,” said Reinhold Brand, president of Evonik Stockhausen. “This is a terrible tragedy. Everyone at our Greensboro site is deeply saddened and shocked. We will ensure they receive all necessary support and assistance at this difficult time.”

Brand said the company is conducting a full and vigorous investigation to determine the cause.

Immediately following the incident, a call was made for medical assistance and emergency personnel arrived at the scene.

All appropriate authorities were immediately notified and the company is cooperating with external agencies.
