Evonik’s Tippecanoe Laboratories Site Donates $8,400 To Local Teachers
Educational Grant Program Has Funded More Than 350 Projects Over 18 Years
Evonik Corporation’s Tippecanoe Laboratories site has awarded 10 grants totaling $8,400 for the 2013-14 school year to area educators under its Partners In Education program.
“We are very grateful for Evonik Corporation’s generosity and the Partners In Education program,” said Scott Hanback, superintendent of Tippecanoe School Corporation. “Evonik Corporation’s donation will be a tremendous help this year. The continued support demonstrates Evonik Corporation’s commitment to education in the community and helps make possible many of the projects our teachers work on with students.”
Evonik Corporation’s grants will help an estimated 1,250 students during the school year. The Partners In Education program has funded more than 350 projects over the past 18 years.
“Science and innovation are critical for a leading specialty chemicals company. The leaders of tomorrow are in our schools today,” said Clive Whiteside, vice president and manager of Evonik Corporation’s site in Lafayette. “The importance of education can’t be measured. Evonik’s grants of up to $1,000 will help the recipients provide students with skills needed for careers in science, technology, engineering and math.”

Claire Miller, Jen Tilley, Laurel Clements, Shelly Reichert, and Lori Brandon - Woodland Elementary School.

Evonik is proud to offer these scholarship awards to those who will be responsible with educating our students.”
In addition, Evonik Corporation employees host the Wizard Science program, sponsored by Partners In Education, where they judge science projects, provide classroom science demonstrations and develop activities for teachers.
The Partners In Education program is overseen by a committee of educators, school administrators and Evonik employees.
