Ohio Bureau Lauds Facility’s Dedication to Employee, Plant Safety

Evonik’s carbon black plant in Belpre, Ohio, has been recognized for its exceptional safety record by the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation.

In notifying the plant of the prestigious award, Lori Smith, Safety Council Manager at the Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce, lauded Evonik’s dedication to safety. Said Smith: “We recognize that it takes a whole team and fully dedicated staff to make a safe workplace.”

This was the fifth time Evonik’s Belpre plant has been recognized for its outstanding safety record by the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation.

The award will be presented to the Belpre team at the Mid-Ohio Valley Safety Council Awards luncheon April 21.
