Evonik Honors Award of Excellence Winners at 26th Annual Celebration
Winners celebrate during weekend in New York City
The Matt Taylor Award of Excellence, initiated in 1987, is the highest, most prestigious recognition an employee of Evonik’s Performance Polymers Business Unit can earn. Throughout the last 26 years, this program has recognized 318 employees who have proactively contributed to key areas of the business. The award recipients represent the principles and values to which Evonik is committed. These include never-ending quality improvement, teamwork and meticulous attention to detail. Winners were honored with an all-expense-paid weekend in New York City on April 12-14, 2013.

These employees’ outstanding performance and current accomplishments have contributed significantly to Evonik’s success. The 2012 Award of Excellence winners by location are:
Osceola, Arkansas: Robb Dickson, with 5 years of service, is the Molding and Extrusion Compounds Supervisor at Evonik’s Osceola plant at 1500 Richard Prewitt Drive. Joe Fardeecy is Plant Controller/Inventory Specialist and has 18 years of service with the company. Carl Lucy is Maintenance Mechanic with 12 years of service.
Sanford, Maine: Ron Jaques, with five years of service, is Material Services Assistant at Evonik’s Sanford facility on 1796 Main Street. Richard May is a 24-year veteran and Continuously Manufactured Sheet Operator and Production Team Leader.
Parsippany, New Jersey: Maureen Iuzzolino has been with Evonik for 14 years and is Manager, Customer Service and Logistics for the High Performance Polymers business line. Jonathan Polan, Customer Service Representative for the Monomers business, has five years of service. He will start a new position shortly as Business Segment and Marketing Specialist.
Wallingford, Connecticut: Debbie Swanson is Administrative Assistant / Buyer for the Wallingford Plant and has 29 years of service with the company. The Evonik Wallingford plant is located on South Cherry Street.
Ontario, Canada: Nick Holubowsky has been with Evonik for eleven years and is the North American Greenhouse Project Manager in Ontario, Canada.
Mobile, Alabama: Derek Everett has been with Evonik for five years and is Chief Operator M4 level in the Methyl Methacrylate (MMAT) Plant in Mobile, AL. Derek is also a member of the Evonik Mobile Site Emergency Response Team as well as a certified Emergency Medical Technician and a volunteer member of his local fire department.
