Evonik Cyro’s Maine Plant Donates Over $3,000 To Grahamtastic Connection

Evonik Cyro LLC has donated more than $3,000 to the Grahamtastic Connection, a volunteer organization that provides laptops for hospitalized children.

Such corporate citizenship is the cornerstone of Evonik Cyro’s operations, said John Rolando, President of Evonik Performance Polymers North America, which is why Performance Polymers’ management supported the Sanford plant’s recommendation to donate funds to Grahamtastic Connection.

“Grahamtastic is an all volunteer program with participants sharing one goal: Connecting children when their world is out of reach,” said Rolando. “We applaud Grahamtastic Connection for providing the continuation of education, access to medical information and emotional support to seriously ill children in hospitals. Grahamtastic is a very worthy, very worthwhile organization and we are pleased to support it.”

Leslie Morissette, founder of Grahamtastic Connection, a nonprofit organization based in Springvale, said Grahamtastic was honored by the donation. "We would like to express our deep appreciation and gratitude to Evonik Cyro and in particular to Mr. Rolando for making this donation," she said. "The ongoing support of sponsors and friends like those at Evonik Cyro helps us direct much needed support to those children affected by serious illness. Providing laptops to youngsters gives them not only hope but a way to connect with the world and their friends.”
