Evonik Corporation To Raise Hydrogen Peroxide Prices In North America
Evonik Corporation will increase prices for hydrogen peroxide (100% basis) by US$0.05/lb or Can$120/metric ton in North America effective July 1, 2014, or as contracts allow.
Energy and fuel surcharges will remain in effect until further notice.
With an annual name plate capacity of 245,000 metric tons, Evonik's Advanced Intermediates business unit is North America’s largest producer of the eco-friendly bleaching and oxidizing agent hydrogen peroxide, which is used primarily in paper and pulp bleaching.
Evonik produces hydrogen peroxide in Germany, Belgium, Austria, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Korea, Indonesia, New Zealand, China and South Africa.
